The major suppliers of Apple Inc.’s in China with the inclusion of the maker of iPhone Hon Hai Precision Industry Co. has been planning to resume the production in full scale for the country on February 10 in spite of the coronavirus which has infected many thousands and limited the travel.
Hon Hai from Foxconn is the most important manufacturer for the company form United States and it has said on Tuesday that it is still expecting to be able to restart the facilities throughout the country on schedule as per a text message which had been sent to the media. Suppliers like the Quanta Computer Inc. LG Display Co. and Inventec Corp. has also said that they are going to go back to work in the next week in the country of China.
While the officials of China and the companies have also targeted the date of 10th of February for resuming much of the work in the country, the doubts with regard to timing have been growing in the recent years as the death toll of the virus has risen and the workers are finding themselves being stuck in the municipal lockdowns as well as the transport of goods and people being hampered. Over 20,000 people are infected with the virus and over 400 have been dead because of it.
Almost all of the iPhones in the world have been made in the country, and Hon Hai has their iPhone city in the city of Zhengzhou at the site of an assembly near the city of Shanghai. Both of the cities are a far distance away from the epicenter of the outbreak which is Wuhan.
